BONPRIX #PARTYPOLISHED NAIL ART COMPETITION

A few weeks ago I was kindly contacted by the people over at Bon Prix, an online fashion and accessory retailer for Women, Men and Kids.Teaming up with Barry M for their latest  nail art competition #PartyPolished, Bon Prix are giving bloggers the chance to win a £50 voucher for their store, together with a selection of Barry M products worth £50. To enter the competition all you have to do is simply create a nail art design based on a Bon Prix dress.

A black dress is a staple around this time of year, especially come Christmas. For this competition I chose Bon Prix 'Lace Yoke Maxi Dress' to team my nail art design with.

To create this design I applied a gold polish for the base and used striping tape to create the lined effect, applying China Glaze ''Dont Get Derailed' for the colour on top. For an added bit of sparkle I used one of my favourite texture polishes by Barry M, 'Majesty' on the index finger, finishing with a coat of Seche Vite, as always, on all nails.

If you would like to enter Bon Prix #PartyPolished nail art competition then click here for full details. Closing date is midnight Wednesday 21st October 2015.

MINX NAILS - FLOWER POWER

I purchased these Minx Nail Wraps back in May/June time from Amazon, with the intention of wearing them through out the Summer. However, if you live in the UK you will know apart from one nice week of weather we have had anything but a Summer. So, in an effort to get the most use out of my bright/pastel polishes before the Autumn hits I decided to add these Minx Nail Wraps in Flower Power to my latest manicure, teaming them up with Nails Inc 'Swan Street', one of my favourite and most worn nail polishes of this year.

These Minx nail wraps come in a set of 22, with enough to do a full set of nails and toes. Requiring minimal fuss I found them to be easy and simple to apply, and a great way to quickly transform my nails. Before applying you want to make sure your nails are free from any oils as this will prevent the wrap from adhering, wiping your nails with nail polish remover will help to dry out your nail. Once the wrap has been sized up with the correct nail you want to warm it up, you can do this with either your hands, hair dryer, or a standard lamp. I simply held mine for a few seconds under my bedroom lamp to help it to become tacky, and then applied. Once on the nail I pressed out any air bubbles and filed the excess wrap off, finishing with a coat of top coat for extra security.

Used on just one nail, or a complete full set I think these wraps help create a great effect on the nails. All the wraps have beautiful unique designs, and if you live in America there is a great choice to choose from. However, the only place in the UK I could find these to purchase was Amazon *starts protest*, where there was not that many within the range to choose from, but still a great selection of designs. Minx on Amazon currently retails for £12.99, prices vary on designs.

After a successful first attempt at using Minx, I am looking forward to trying out some more designs by them.

HOW TO QUICKLY DRY YOUR NAIL POLISH

Have you ever painted your nails an hour before going to bed then woken up in the morning with those horrible dent marks, its so frustrating *Sighs*, we've all been there. So, for today's posts I thought I would share some tips that have helped me along the way when it comes to making my nail polish dry quickly.

ICE COLD WATER

It can take up to 24 hours for nail polish to be completely dry all the way through each coat, so after 30 minutes your nail polish is only really dry on the top layer leaving you open to getting those annoying dents. Dipping your nails into a small bowl of cold water for a few minutes once you have finished painting will help to harden the polish all the way through each coat.

CUTICLE OIL

You might be thinking Cuticle Oil, huh? Well, I scratched my head about this at first too, but I can honestly say this definitely helps speed up the drying time of my polish. Not only does the oil help speed the drying time up it also acts as a barrier to protecting your nail varnish, so should you knock your nails whilst opening the door to the postman it will be the oil that takes the hit and not your polish. I apply a drop of oil to each nail and the surrounding skin after applying my top coat and by the time this has fully sunken in I know my nails will at least be touch dry.

THIN COATS/METALLIC NAIL POLISH

More thin coats is always better than less, but big thick gloopy coats, especially when painting with a 'Gel Like' polish e.g Barry M Gelly Hi Shine. Again, not only will this be quicker at drying but it will also prevent those really annoying polish bubbles. I've included metallic nail polish as I find it has a much thinner consistency, not only does this dry quicker but it also requires less coats as I find them to be more pigmented. So, if you ever find yourself called out somewhere with minutes to spare and your nails are bare *Shudders* pick a polish with a metallic finish for quickness.

A FAST DRY TOP COAT

My obvious choice for top coat is Seche Vite, always. A coat of this makes my nail polish dry within five minutes. There are many different top coats out there, but using one that is aimed at fast drying like Seche Vite or Ciate's Speed Coat Top Coat will help quicken things up.

NAIL DRY SPRAY

You can usually pick these sprays up in Superdrug, Boots and Bodycare. I wouldn't necessarily rely on these solely to dry my nails, but used in conjunction with say a fast dry top coat or a drop of oil I find can make a difference to the drying time. Some of these sprays have added moisturising agents, so as well as the added moisture it will also help to keep the shine on your polish.

WHAT'S INSIDE MY NAIL BAG

OPI PROFESSIONAL NAIL FILE EDGE 240 GRIT

Having a good nail file is a necessity for me and this one from OPI is my go to. Its 240 grit makes it gentle enough to use on the natural nail, whilst still being able to shape the nail and remove any length if needed. Using anything coarser than 240 on the natural nail could cause damage to the nail plate and nail. I picked this file up from Amazon for around £5.

SALLY HANSEN NAIL MOISTURISING POLISH REMOVER

I constantly run the risk of drying out my nails as I am always removing my nail polish in order to re apply. This moisturising polish remover by Sally Hansen has been a recent favourite of mine and I try to pick it up when its on offer in Superdrug or Boots. It contains Vitamin E and Aloe Vera which prevents the cuticle and nail drying out and is great at removing my polish effortlessly without the need for scrubbing.

SALLY HANSEN INSTANT CUTICLE REMOVER

This cuticle remover seems to have lasted for ages. I apply a small blob of this to each nail to help take care of my cuticles, although I only use this every couple of weeks as it can dry out the nail. After applying I find it dissolves any dry skin around the nail and makes the skin soft in order to push back my cuticles.

NAIL CLIPPERS AND METAL CUTICLE PUSHER

I always have nail clippers on standby for when the toes need a cutting, but will rarely use these to cut my fingernails and instead use a nail file. When it comes to pushing back my cuticles more often than not I will use a orange wood stick wrapped in cotton wool. However, I find a metal cuticle pusher gives that extra help to push back those stubborn cuticles.

NAILS INC SUPERFOOD BASE COAT

This a new discovery for me this year and has been a great alternative to using my OPI Nail Envy as a base coat. This acts both as a base coat and a nail treatment as it contains Kale extracts which helps to strengthen the nail and encourage growth. I find this creates a nice even base and dries quickly enough so I can apply my polish.

NAILS INC VITAMIN E CUTICLE OIL PEN

Just like hand cream I try and apply cuticle oil a few times a day. I discovered this after getting back into using Nails Inc nail polishes and not only does this help stop the cuticles drying out I also find it helps speed up the drying time of my polish. Unlike some cuticle oils that can take forever to sink in I find this dries within a couple of minutes and does not leave you with greasy hands.

SALLY HANSEN HEALTHY CUTICLES NOW!

Along with cuticle oil this is another step I use to help keep my cuticles moisturised. I apply a blob of this to each nail after pushing back my cuticles and leave it to sink in for a couple of minutes, using it like a mask .

SECHE VITE DRY FAST TOP COAT

I have probably mentioned this about 1000 times on here, but for me it really is one of the best top coats. Once I have painted my nails I apply a coat of this and within around 5 minutes my nails feel dry, like properly dry. This gives a lovely glossy finish and helps to extend the wear of my polish.

ORANGE WOOD STICKS

I would be lost if I didn't have supply of these. I usually order a pack of 100 for £1 from Amazon or Ebay to keep me stocked up. These Orange wood sticks have so many uses when it comes to nails that they are a definite necessity. I use them for cuticle work, nail art and even tidying up around my nails with nail polish remover.

MAVALA GARDEN PARTY COLLECTION 2015

(Left to right) Iris, Amaryllis, Magnolia, Petunia, Begonia, Azalea

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to win this gorgeous set of nail polishes by Mavala from their 2015 'Garden Party' collection. I won via Pinterest, after following a company called Ellison's.  Excited for my nail mail to be delivered the polishes arrived within a few days of winning and came beautifully packaged in a black Velcro sealed box, perfect for storing them away in. I had never tried anything by Mavala before so as a newbie to their polishes I was excited to try them out.

The Garden Party collection consists of six nail polishes (Iris,Amaryllis,Magnolia,Petunia,Begonia,Azalea) all based around flowers and was released for this years Spring/Summer. I wore Amaryllis which is the coral shade for a recent weekend away and managed 4 days before any chipping appeared. The bottles are quite small (5ml) but are the perfect size for throwing in your bag when travelling. You could easily get away with one coat of this polish as it is quite thick in consistency, although I always apply two for extra staying power. I know I will be getting lots of use out of these polishes during the following months. These colours are perfect for everyday wear.

LOTTIE LONDON NAIL POLISH - BLOGGER BABE

In March this year a new brand called 'Lottie London' was launched into Superdrug stores and I have since been on a mission to try after seeing that part of the line included a nail polish range. I am always excited when anything new is launched into drugstores, especially when it comes to nails. Walking up the aisles becomes a little more interesting when you have something new to go in and find. Unfortunately though, I have been unable to find 'Lottie London' in my local Superdrug *cries*, so I had to order offline in a desperate bid to finally try these polishes out.

There are 60 polishes all together in the Lottie Lacquer range, this includes matt's, shimmers and glitter top coats. As you can imagine I was stuck for choice when deciding which one to pick, however it was the name of this polish 'Blogger Babe' that won me over, how could I not have this in my collection? The colour is a mushroom like dark nude, although not a typical Summer shade I know it will be perfect come Autumn/Winter time. Along with the polishes having super fun names I love the packaging of the bottle also, its quirky bottle top stands out on my nail rack.

The polish itself was quite sheer when applying so I used around 3 coats to get the coverage you see in the photo. With the polish quite thin it meant that drying time between each coat was quick so it didn't take long at all to paint my nails *fist pumps*. I am only on day two of wearing this polish and its lasting well, no chips in sight. So far I am impressed and have hopes of adding more of these polishes to my collection. If you are not so nail crazy as I am then there is also a line of make up brushes and accessories you can swoon over.

What are your favourite products from 'Lottie London'?

DIY NAILCALS

I have been following DIY Nails on Twitter for a while and after seeing all the gorgeous nails they tweet I decided to go check out their website and see what they were about. DIY Nails sell a whole range of Nailcals that are water-activated temporary tattoos which can be used both on the nail and skin. I have tried nail tattoos once before and found them to be a great way to quickly change up my nails without too much fuss. The tattoos come on one sheet with up to 100 Nailcals, all different sizes which fit every nail shape. I picked up the Mehndi foil pack which retail for £6.

The Nailcals were easy to apply, although I do have to hold my hands up though and say I did apply these the wrong way *note to self, read instructions* hence why they turned out silver and not gold, oops. Still, I was happy with the finished result. Once on the nail I left it a couple of seconds and then straight away applied my Seche Vite top coat to seal it down. The Nailcals themselves are super thin so unlike nail wraps and nail stickers if you rub your finger over the nail you cannot feel them. Used on acrylics, gels or polish they work with all nail systems. The Nailcals come in black & white, colour and foil, its hard not to be spoilt for choice. I actually spied some cat ones that I now have my eyes on *crazy cat lady alert*.

MAY FAVOURITES 2015

For today's post I wanted to give you another little insight into some things that I enjoyed through out May. I cant believe we are now into June, even though it does sometimes still feel like January *grabs hot water bottle*.

Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner - £26.00

I love Clarins for skincare and this particular toner by them has been a favourite of mine this month. This exfoliating toner is super gentle on my skin and does what an exfoliator does but without the abrasiveness or need to scrub. I have been using this once a week, usually the night before I tan as I find it helps to get rid of any dry or dead skin.

Simple Kind To Skin Deep Cleansing Face Mask - £3.99

I decided to give this mask a go after hearing Lisa Eldridge talk about it in one of her videos. I have been using this the day after tanning as some tans have been leaving my face feeling dry, this has been great for giving my skin a moisture boost and getting rid of that tight feeling.

Imperial Leather Grapefruit & Pomegranate Shower Cream

I love these kind of scents come Spring/Summer. This Grapefruit Shower Cream by Imperial Leather smells good enough to drink. I love using this after the gym as it leaves my skin feeling super clean and fresh.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Eclat Concealer - £7.99

After running out of my Collection 2000 Lasting perfection I was on the hunt for a new everyday concealer. Remembering how much I enjoyed using the Healthy Mix Concealer I decided to go back to it. The concealer itself is quite thick but I find it does not lay heavy, it gives me great coverage on any blemishes or dark circles.

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter - £13.00

You can't beat the Body Shop Body Butters, they last for ages. Whenever I pop into the shop I always come out with a load of testers on the back of my hand as they all smell too good. This Satsuma one smells amazing. I have been using this on a night time as I like to let it sink in overnight.

Twinings Salted Caramel Green Tea

I have been on the hunt for this tea for ages and managed to finally find it in Tesco's. I love anything Salted Caramel and wanted to know what this would taste like. Surprisingly I really liked it, the caramel taste helps to take away the bitterness that Green Tea can sometimes have. I am now on the hunt to try the Cherry Bakewell one.

The Theory Of Everything

Hands down one of my favourite films of this year. I didn't get chance to see this at the Cinema so picked this up on DVD when it was released last month. Just a little warning, you might want to stock up on the Kleenex before watching this.

What have you enjoyed in May ?

NAIL OF THE DAY - PASTEL MANICURE // BARRY M GELLY HI SHINE

I do love a bit of pastel come Spring, especially on the nails. Two of my current favourite pastel polishes are from the Gelly Hi Shine Range by Barry M and are in the colours Fondant and Sky Blue. This range is a cult favourite of mine and I can guarantee that if I pop into Superdrug or Boots I will most likely always come out with a new paint, they just have too many nice shades to choose from.

To start off these nails I firstly applied a coat of my Nails Inc Nail Kale Base Coat, after chipping my middle nail a few weeks ago *world ends* this base coat really helped to quickly build it back up to a decent length. Once the base was fully dry I applied a piece of striping tape down the middle of each nail and applied around two coats of each polish to each side. My only warning with the Gelly Hi Shine Paints is to go thinly on the coats, I have found that with a lot of the gel-like polishes they are super thick in consistency and if applied in one thick coat it ends up making the polish bubble, so a few thin coats are better. Once my nails were fully dry I removed the striping tape and replaced it with fresh tape to give it a pop. As always, I finished these nails by sealing it all down with a coat of my trusty Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

WHAT I USED

Nails Inc // Nail Kale Base Coat
Barry M Gelly Hi Shine // Sugar Apple
Barry M Gelly Hi Shine // Fondant
Bronze Gold Striping Tape
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

What are your favourite pastel polishes ? Any recommendations ?

NAILS INC - THE NEW WHITE - SWAN STREET//WHITE HORSE STREET

A few years ago I would never have thought of wearing white nail polish on its own, I don't think I even owned a bottle of the colour, shock, horror ! However, over the last year or so the white and nude based shades have taken over and have since become staples in my collection. Shunning the bright colours, I now find myself reaching for these shades more often as they are perfect for everyday wear.

One brand, who for me I think has nailed the white polish trend perfectly is Nails Inc. Nails Inc has been a bit of a rediscovery for me this year, since having a complete make over and redesigning their polishes I have found myself enjoying them a whole lot more. One of my favourite collections by them has been their new white range, it consists of four polish shades, all white based with a subtle hint of colour.

Swan Street is a gorgeous Iced Mint, pastel mints and greens are some of my favourite polishes come Spring, I love this shade. White Horse Street is a smokey light grey, perfect for everyday wear. Not all white and nude shades sit right on my nail but these shades of polish make it easy to pull off. The polishes retail for £14.00 each but I really feel like you get what you pay for with Nails Inc. Beautifully packaged on arrival these polishes definitely feel a treat, even better that most of my orders have included a Kinder Bueno bar, nail polish and Kinder chocolate *emoji heart eyes*, always a perfect combination. These polishes are definite favourites of mine, I am looking forward to building up my Nails Inc collection this year.

NAIL POLISH STORAGE CASE - NAILBUFF

If you are as much as a nail hoarder as I am then you will understand the problem I face when it comes to storage. I am always on the look out for new ways to store my polishes, at the moment I use my nail display rack for my most worn polishes, then everything else gets stored away in old Glossybox's or plastic storage boxes.

Last week I attended the Beauty UK Show at the Birmingham NEC, whilst there I managed to discover a company called NailBuff which were selling these nail polish storage cases *hallelujah*. Perfect for taking on the go, or for storing your own polishes in at home, these cases are a complete nail hack. The case itself is double sided and can hold 48 polishes, having tested this myself I can vouch that it fits all bottle sizes, even the bigger ones, such as OPI, Morgan Taylor, Nails Inc, Models Own, Revlon etc. The see through window makes it quick easy to locate my nail polishes without having to rummage through boxes. Ideal for any nail polish obsessive, or mobile technician, these cases offer a simple way to help keep your collection organised.

SPRINKLE NAILS // NATIONAL DOUGHNUT WEEK

If you are anything like me and have a super sweet tooth then you might like today's nails. This week is 'National Doughnut Week' (9th-16th) and is all in aid of a great cause, you can find out more here. To show my appreciation for these great tasty things and to share my love for all things sweet, and over 500 calories, I decided to join in the fun with these doughnut sprinkle inspired nails.

To create these nails I used 'Comic Cute' from the Archie's Girl Collection by Mac as the base, this is the perfect polish for that pink icing colour. Sad news is though that this collection by Mac is now discontinued however Revlon do a great dupe for this polish called 'Sweet Tart'. For the sprinkles I used a couple of different coloured polishes and took the side of an orange wood stick to press the polish onto the nail to make the sprinkle shape. To finish this look I used a coat of my trusty Seche Vite to seal it all in, this really is the best top coat for situations like this as it does not merge all the colour together or leave you with one big blobby mess.

\\ What I Used //

Barry M Speedy Quick Dry - Road Rage
Ciate - Paper Doll
Ciate - Big Yellow Taxi

MAY 2015 COLORISTIQ BOX - OPI // MORGAN TAYLOR // ESSIE

When I first heard about Coloristiq I was excited to finally have found a subscription service that was suited to me. For those of you scratching your head at what Coloristiq is then let me explain. Coloristiq is a UK Nail Rental Subscription Service that delivers three polishes to your door each month. Choosing from great nail brands and latest collections you create a wish list of all the colours you would like to receive. Each month Coloristiq will then send you three colours randomly picked from your wish list to try for a month.

In my May box this month I received three great colours from OPI, Morgan Taylor, and Essie, all of which I think are perfect for this Summer/Spring, so if you are on the hunt for that perfect beach shade then these might just help to give you some ideas.

Morgan Taylor // Color Me Bold

It was my first Coloristiq box in January that welcomed me to the world of Morgan Taylor polishes and ever since then I have been a fan girl of the range. 'Color Me Bold' is a beautiful cream coral polish that is a perfect poolside shade for this Spring/Summer. The polish itself is quite thick in formula which I love as it takes no time at all to build up to a full colour. If you haven't tried any Morgan Taylor polishes then you should definitely add some to your wish list.

O.P.I // Suzi Has A Swede Tooth

When I opened my box this was one of the first colours that jumped out at me. 'Suzi Has A Swede Tooth' is a bubblegum, Barbie-esque cream pink that was taken from the OPI Nordic collection for Autumn/Winter 2014. I love the brushes on these polishes, one coat covered the majority of the nail making the application neat. In between coats I found the drying time to be quick. When a polish has a thick formula I always like to try and leave a good amount of time before re applying as this is when bubbles can form. I think this colour would look great worn against dark clothing for an extra pop of colour.

Essie // Style Hunter

Style Hunter is from Essie's 2014 Spring Collection, Hide and Go Chic. The polish is a Crimson colour, like a bright red with a shot of pink added into it. I thought this polish might take me a good few coats to get an opaque finish as I found the formula to be quite thin, but after two coats I was happy with the end result. For someone who is always drawn to pastels at this time of year I still like a pop of colour and think this would make for a great pedicure colour this Summer.

What polishes have you received in your May Coloristiq box ?

NAIL OF THE DAY - DEBORAH LIPPMANN - LA VIE EN ROSE

For today's post I wanted to share with you an old favourite of mine from Deborah Lippmann's Spring 2014 line. La Vie En Rose is a gorgeous soft pink shimmer and is one of my favourite nude type polishes. Worn as a top coat on top of a polish, or, as a base coat for your French Manicure, this polish can be worn many ways. I have built it up to a full coverage, although with the polish being so sheer it does take a bit of time to get it to an opaque finish, I think I applied nearly 5 coats *cries*.

To finish these nails I applied a little gold stud near the cuticle to jazz it up. I picked these gold studs up from Poundland in one of their nail wheels. Its handy to have somewhere that stocks these sort of things as in the past I have had to order from Ebay, the shipping usually ends up been ridiculous for something so cheap. Poundland have had some great nail accessories in recently and I am looking forward to seeing what else I can find when I next pop in.

APRIL FAVOURITES 2015

Today I wanted to share with you a bit of a different post. Monthly favourites are among some of my favourite type of posts to read, I love seeing what everyone has been enjoying through out the month. I have certainly been enjoying alot through out April, beauty, and non beauty so I thought I would give you a little insight.

Elle Magazine

I am not a religious magazine buyer as I tend to be one of those who flicks through the pages and then passes them on, but when I saw that Rebel Wilson was this months front cover for Elle I had to buy, I love Pitch Perfect and think she is hilarious.

OGX Anti-Breakage Keratin Oil Instant Repair Weightless Healing Oil Spray // Boots £6.99

I am a huge fan of the OGX range especially their Shampoo and Conditioner, taking advantage on a 3 for 2 offer I decided to give their Keratin Healing Oil Spray a whirl. This spray is great for getting rid of fly aways and adding some extra shine to the hair. I use a spritz of this before and after drying and love how it leaves my hair smelling like I have just left the salon.

Chroma Stationery // Chromastationery.co.uk

A notebook is an essential for me, I love writing things down and making to do lists. These notebooks from Chroma are personalised, with each colour and notebook having a story behind it. Delivery is quick and they come beautifully packaged, making as a lovely gift for someone, especially bloggers, they make for great blog planners.

Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Instant Tan Mouse // Superdrug £7.99

April has definitely been a month for upping my tanning game especially as Summer is only around the corner. This 1 Hour Instant Tan Mouse from Cocoa Brown is a firm favourite of mine and a constant repurchase. It applies evenly, dries quickly so I am left with no sticky feeling, and most importantly leaves me with no biscuit smell the day after.

Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil // The Body Shop £10.00

I have really been enjoying the Body Shop for skincare this month. Having run out of my Chamomile Scrumptious Cleansing Butter I decided to change things up and try the Cleansing Oil. I have been using the Cleansing Oil as a pre cleanse, its amazing for removing make-up, especially waterproof mascara. It leaves my skin feeling super moisturised and clean.

Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat // ASOS £11.00

Curious to see if this was worth the hype I caved in a decided to give it a try. This has been one of those life changing products, like I could kick myself for not buying this sooner. After applying my nails are dry within seconds leaving me free to get on with things without the fear of smudging, it also makes my nails feel strong and leaves them looking super glossy.

What products have you been enjoying in April ?

NAILS INC-VICTORIA BECKHAM-JUDO RED

Like every other person who was born in the 90's I was a huge fan of the Spice Girls, so when Nails Inc shared last year that they were going to be doing a collection with Victoria Beckham I have to admit I did let out a bit of a squeal. If I cant have one of Victoria Beckham's handbags I most certainly was going to buy her nail polish.

The Nails Inc VVB collection consists of two nail polishes and was created with a stretched-to-fit technology, similar to her clothing line. This new technology is a first in a nail line and gives the nails a plump finish, feeling almost gel like. Both nail polishes contain Bamboo Extract which help to encourage healthy nails and nail growth. The polish itself comes in a glass bottle in either a matte white or black and has a reveal panel at the side of the bottle to show the colour of the polish.

The two nail polishes come in the colours Judo Red which is a fiery orange red, and Bamboo White which is a classic everyday nude, they currently retail for £25 each. I picked the colour Judo Red and purchased mine from FeelUnique after taking advantage on some discount codes. The polish itself arrived packaged in a simple white gift box, making it feel a bit more special and luxurious. The polish goes on amazingly and has a great thick brush which makes for a perfect application. I am now on day two of wearing this polish and feel like my nails have a treatment on as they feel so strong. Overall I am super impressed with this collection and think these would make for a great gift or treat for someone special.

NAIL WISHLIST - SPRING EDITION 2015

I don't know about you but I am happy to see the back of Winter and glad to welcome Spring. I can finally bring out my sandals, look forward to some sunny days (if we get any), and make use of the lighter nights, especially when it comes to taking pictures for my blog. Among all these great things though is the promise of some new Spring inspired nail collections, goodbye dark colours, hello pastels.Today I wanted to share with you the collections and products that have caught my eye over the last couple of weeks and ones that I am looking forward to trying.

1//O.P.I INFINITE SHINE COLLECTION (£12.95)
This collection offers gel like nails in the comfort of your own home without the need for a UV lamp. There are 30 colours in the collection, all to be used alongside the Infinite Shine Primer Base Coat and Gloss Top Coat. Used as a system the collection promises up to 10 days wear, intense shine, and the staying power of gel nails. I am interested to see how this works and will certainly be spoilt for choice when it comes to colour. You can view the full collection here.

2// BOURJOIS NAIL CARE POT (£5.99)
After the success of the Magic Nail Polish Remover Pot Bourjois are now launching a Nail Care Pot. The pot is jojoba oil-based to help nourish the nail and cuticle. I love these little pots as they are travel friendly and great for throwing in your bag. This Nail Care Pot is due to launch onto all Bourjois stands this month so I am keeping my eyes peeled.

3// ESSIE FLOWERISTA! COLLECTION (£8.95)
Teaming up with designer Rebecca Minkoff Essie have created a collection of six nail polishes celebrating the season of Spring. All nail polishes are inspired by flowers and are perfect colours for this time of year. I am looking forward to trying Blossom Dandy. You can view the full collection here.

4// BARRY M SUNSET DAYLIGHT CURING NAIL PAINT (£4.99)
Any new nail collection from Barry M is exciting but this one is definitely one I cant wait to try. There are 8 colours all together including the topcoat, with names inspired by songs e.g. Do It Like A Nude, which I love. Together using the Sunset Nail Paint and Topcoat this collection aims to provide salon like gel nails. There is no need for a base coat also as in daylight the paint is supposed to bond to the nail to provide a long lasting polish. You can view the full collection here.

NAIL OF THE DAY - BARRY M BALLERINA & ESSIE PENNY TALK

For today's post I wanted to share with you all my nails for this week. A new take on the classic French Manicure has been proving popular recently so I decided to give it a go, with the idea being the same you just switch up the colours from the standard pale pink base and white tip. There are so many great polishes that would work well together, though in the end I opted for the Barry M Nail Paint in Ballerina for the base colour, and Essie Penny Talk for the tip.

Barry M's Ballerina made me fall back in love with their original Nail Paint line as prior to this I always used to buy the Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paints. The colour is a great everyday pink that can be worn all year round and goes perfect with Essie's Penny Talk, which is from their Mirror Metallic Summer 2012 Collection. Metallics have a quicker drying time than regular polishes which works well for a tip colour as it goes on thinly and leaves you with no thick gloopy line.

I finished these nails with a coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat which seals it all in perfectly without dragging or merging the two paints together.I am looking forward to trying this again but switching it up with some pastel colours, I think this would look great for the Summer.

EASTER NAILS - B. COMPLETE NAIL POLISH

Happy Easter ! I hope everyone is enjoying over indulging in lots of chocolate as much as I am. For today's post I wanted to share with you all what I am wearing on my nails this weekend. Easter is the perfect time to make full use of my Models Own Speckled Egg Polish and whilst deciding on what other polishes to use alongside this I came across this gem from the B. Beautiful range, sold exclusively in Superdrug.

Superdrug are currently holding a competition in search of a #SuperdrugExclusives Beauty Blogger. To enter you must publish a post or vlog showcasing a product from Superdrugs exclusive collection. What better time to talk about the B.Complete Nail Polishes which are sold only in Superdrug. I don't here enough about them within the nail blogging world and thought this would be a great chance to give them the shine and credit they deserve. For full details on this competition you can check out here or follow the hashtag #SuperdrugExclusives on twitter.

I was introduced to the B.Beautiful range last year after receiving a nail polish in my Glossybox. I have since gone onto to be a convert to the range, not only using their nail polish but their lipstick also, Dolls House is a firm everyday favourite of mine. The line consists of a make up, skincare and nail polish range, with all products being Cruelty Free and Vegan. The polish I have used in the picture is one of their Long Lasting Nail Polishes in the colour Sea Foam, a perfect Spring Pastel. The brush for the polishes are perfect, one coat nearly covers all of the nail plate and allows for a neat application. Drying time on these polishes I found were quick also, I waited around 5 minutes after applying two coats before applying other polishes on top. B.Beautiful currently have a buy 1 get the 2nd half price on selected items, you can check out the full range here.

CINDERELLA SPRING COLLECTION 2015 - MORGAN TAYLOR

To celebrate the release of Disney's live action version of Cinderella in March Morgan Taylor released their Spring collection of nail polishes, from the ball gown down to the famous slipper, all these polishes are inspired by the film.
There was no way I could let this collection pass me by without purchasing, nail polish and Disney, does it get any better ? I discovered Morgan Taylor at the start of this year when I tested one in my Coloristiq box and was sold straight away by how good their brushes were, this for me is always the sign of a good polish.

There are 6 nail polishes altogether in the collection and if the colours don't win you over then the names certainly will. I purchased the mini 4 pack that comes with the polishes Watch Your Step, Sister! - a hot pastel pink, Ella Of A Girl - a light pastel pink, If The Slipper Fits - frosty blue with glitter, and Party At The Palace - iridescent aqua. The polishes come in a 4ml size, perfect size for popping in your bag or taking on your jollies. The mini 4 pack currently retails for £18.95 including free UK delivery or £9.95 for a full size (15ml) individual bottle over at NailPolishDirect
